We live in a new apartment complex off Gandy by 275 and have not been able to find a Chinese restaurant that delivers to us ... Not only does New China deliver but the food is awesome ... Food was hot when delivered, tasted delicious and the delivery person was nice and friendly ... Get your orders in early on the weekends because they are busy but they are so worth it

We travel past many other Chinese take-out places to get here. The menu and prices are similar to many of the other places, but the quality of the food is far superior. First of all, the hot and sour soup is perfect. Nice, rich broth with tofu, mushroom, and pork -- a good hot and sour soup really has flavor befitting the name -- this is not some glorified egg drop with a little soy sauce some try to pass off as hot and sour. My favorite dinner is the schezuan beef and my husband's is the kung pao chicken. I love the flavors, and I am always impressed by the tenderness of the meat and the perfectly-cooked tender-crisp vegetables. The portions are generous, but my husband and I can never agree on dinner, so we usually get hot and sour soup, spring rolls, and 2 dinners -- we then happily eat Chinese food all weekend.

New China is our "go to" Chinese delivery restaurant. We tried all the Chinese places around our house that delivered when we first moved in and we decided this place was the best of them. My Husband generally orders General Tsao's Chicken. I have tried a lot of different things here including the Sweet and Sour Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, Szechuan Chicken, Beef Lo Mein and others. My favorite is probably the Szechuan Chicken. I like to order it spicier (which still isn't spicy for my tolerant palate) and without the water chestnuts. New China is accommodating to special requests like these. The people that take your order over the phone are sometimes a little hard to understand and sometimes you have to repeat things. However, they have NEVER messed up our order. Not once. Just be nice, tolerant and talk loud and clear into the phone and you won't have issues. They are trying their best to serve you. We also often order their steamed dumplings, egg rolls or crab rangoons. All are delicious here. Overall, this is a pretty solid place to order Chinese take out or delivery.

It was our first time trying this Chinese; we ordered delivery. One: The man on the phone when ordering was very rude and short with us. Two: We were told our delivery would be around 25 minutes. It's obvious to give delivery 5-10 minutes more, as they put together our food and drive to our house. Well, our delivery took 53 minutes, and we only live 2 miles away. Third: I ordered the sweet and sour chicken, and girlfriend had the chicken fried rice. My order was decent, though the chicken was a little dry and bland. My girlfriend enjoyed her order of chicken fried rice. We topped things off with the fortune cookies that were provided for us. ***** I also got a message on Yelp a couple weeks after posting this review, from someone who clearly either works at this facility or has an attachment to it - who cussed me out for this review; apparently I came off as lazy for ordering delivery and I clearly do not know anything about the food service. So what does that say about the people who work there? I will change this review now from 3 stars to 1 star. So, way to make this business look "good". All in all, we will not be calling again for delivery. I will not be telling friends and family about this restaurant.

I've been coming here for years... it's just a little hole-in-the-wall dive, but it's the best takeout/delivery Chinese food here in the area! The people don't speak the best English, but my orders are usually always right. I'm sure they have my order memorized though. lol But I always recommend this place. Oh, and always give them a little tip... it goes a long way and they're a bit easier to work with. ;-) P.S. They have larger shrimp than about any restaurant that I've ever been to!!!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
